A domain name (commonly misspelled domane name) is the actual name of the site, like this site the doman name is www.masterpeez.com  You can choose just about any domain name you can think of as long as it has not already been taken by someone else.  The theme of your website, or the "keywords" you are using on your homepage should also be found in the domain name if at all possible.  So if you have a website idea about car insurance, you would want that phrase in the domain name itself.

TIP: Buy the domain name with the longest renewal date possible to prevent the domain from expiring and all your hard work to be lost.
